Helping Out
« on: April 06, 2010, 11:05:33 AM »
Hi, guys, it's come to my attention (though I am not an officer of any RoM guild or even a senior member), that the RoM wiki needs some help. It's really in a pretty deplorable condition, many NPC's, monsters, quests, and skills are missing or have mispelled, misleading or incomplete entries.  :( One of the things that made Guild Wars (the game I played before this) good, was that they had a good, up-to-date wiki. So, I figure, we have a pretty big community (I think), so why don't we pitch in and help make the wiki. It could be as simple as just posting your opinions on certain skills or information about NPC's and quests.
Studies have shown that, to the surprise of many, 100% of people who post on forums are in fact, alive. If you are not alive (dead, in a coma, etc.) put this in your sig.

I thought this was the only one:  http://www.theromwiki.com/Main_Page I looked at the wikia one, and its even worse, they don't list Druid or Warden as classes yet, nor do they have Ravenfell, Weeping Coast, Savage Lands or Aoutulia as regions. I'd actually be more inclined to help with the wikia one, since it actually loads okay on my computer (The romwikione  above has all sorts of host problems, plus ads)

Okay, I know i'm kind of necroposting here, but now it has become more important that the wiki be better. Curse, which had hosted the RunesDB website, had a message on it today saying they were dropping it and that www.theromwiki.com should be used instead, which is not in very good condition. I really think we should try to do some work on it.

Also, can someone pass this message to every else in TSW RoM guilds. I think I'm the only RoM person who even uses these forums anymore.
